I've been working in radio with the BBC since 1991*, as a journalist, producer and presenter, but the job started to evolve in 2001 when we began work on the BBC Cumbria website, which I've run with a small team since it was launched. In 2006 I travelled to New York with a BBC colleague to collect a Webby Award for our Digital Lives work in the Community section - view screen grab.  We'd done a lot of work with local communities encouraging local people to tell their personal stories through audio, video and pictures and brought it all together in one section.
Having become immersed in the world of the web at work, it became a huge interest at home. I've moved from basic Dreamweaver and Photoshop sites to using PHP to develop more complex database driven websites. I received a Distinction in the Level 3 Diploma in Web Design from the The Association of Certified IT Professionals in 2005, and have since been working on a number of my own projects: | My other websites
